A new legislative framework for incorporated associations in Victoria came into effect on 26 November 2012. The framework included: a new act ? the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012, new regulations ? the Associations Incorporation Reform Regulations 2012, and new model rules for incorporated associations.

 All associations were given the option of adopting the new Model Rules or modifying their existing rules to comply with the Act. The Committee believed that the Association’s existing rules contained certain rules that it would want to see carried forward and others that could be dropped as being no longer relevant.

At the RCGA AGM on 9th August a Special Resolution was put to the meeting -

"That the meeting adopt the 'Rules of the Radio Control Gliding Association (August 2013).

The resolution was passed unanimously and the new rules became effective on 15/08/2013.
